Having visited India during height of business process outsourcing (BPO) 10 years ago and regularly during the growth of legal process outsourcing (LPO) over the last few years the transformation is dramatic.
A widespread middle-class has emerged in the largest and even second-tier cities. While poverty, infrastructure gaps and governmental bureaucracy are nagging challenges, the Indian work ethic, positive attitude and ambition is second to none. Ed has discovered the power of extending his business strategy to India. Certainly the Fortune 500 have capitalized on India’s talents. Despite the human capital resources I find it surprising more growth companies don’t invest the time to learn and embrace the capability in cities like Pune. There are many service oriented start-up, middle-market companies in India that share characteristics/values with their peers in the US and make for ideal business partners.

India is the second fastest growing economy in the world after China even as the developed economies are just coming out of the shocks of the financial tsunami.

Kingfisher might be responsible for the doubling of GDP over the next 5 years
